Katherine Hoerth is an award-winning poet, professor, editor, reviewer and blogger living in southeast Texas. She is the author of five poetry books: The Lost Chronicles of Slue Foot Sue (Angelina River Press, 2018) Goddess Wears Cowboy Boots (Lamar University Literary Press, 2014), The Garden Uprooted (Slough Press, 2012), The Garden of Dresses (Mouthfeel Press, 2011) and Among the Mariposas (Mouthfeel Press, 2010). She is an Assistant Professor of English at Lamar University and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Lamar University Literary Press. She is poetry editor of Amarillo Bay and Devilfish Review. Katherine's poems have been included in journals such as THINK, Concho River Review, and Mezzo Cammin: A Journal of Formal Poetry by Women. In 2015, Katherine was awarded the Helen C. Smith Prize from the Texas Institute of Letters. She was the 2017 Langdon Review Writer in Residence and is a member of the Texas Institute of Letters.
